The Alameda Islanders will be hosting the annual City of Alameda Swim Championships on August 12, 13, and 14 (2011) at Encinal Swim Center. The Masters (19 and over) compete Friday night and the age groupers on Saturday and Sunday. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm after the meet concludes.
The Islanders and the Ala-Gators usually alternate running the meet. Last year, the City Championships were held at Emma Hood. All swimmers must be Alameda residents to compete and, except for novice swimmers, must be current members of USA Swimming. There are no qualifying times.
Download the meet sheet below and be sure to get your entries in by the last week in July. This will be a great meet... unlike Emma Hood, we'll have racing blocks and Aquatics Fan can personally vouch for the expertise of the meet director.. who will make it run smooth.
