Lead paint found at Alameda's Emma Hood swim center

Michele Ellson has a story at the Alameda Journal about potential closures at Emma Hood due to lead paint at the facility. The higher-than-allowed levels were discovered during an insurance inspection.

The paint was found in the interior walls of the lovely, well-lit pool house where students often do their homework before and after swimming. The swimming community is trying to schedule the remedy in between seasons (after water polo) so that a closure is not too disruptive.
