ISLANDERS SWIM TO NEW STANDARDS AT OAKLAND UNDERCURRENT C/B/A+ Meet (Long Course)

Big congratulations to Abel Fetahi and Arron Clavin for achieving new PRT times at the Oakland Undercurrent C/B/A+ Meet this last weekend.

PRT = Pacific Reportable Time. Achieving this time standard in an event places a swimmer in the top 5% of all the swimmers in their age group in that particular event in Pacific Swimming.

Abel Fetahi dropped 17 seconds in the 10-under Boys 400 Freestyle. His final time of 5.58.09 is a new Far Western cut, as well as a new PRT.

Arron Clavin's new PRT was in the 11-12 Boys 100 Backstroke. Arron's time was a 1:16.78.

Other Islander highlights:

9-10 Girls

Audrey Tran achieved four new "A" times (50 Free, 100 Free, 50 Breast, and 100 Breast).

11-12 Girls

Maria Clavin achieved six new "B" times (100 Free, 200 Free, 200 Back, 50 Breast, 100 Breast, and 200 IM). Maria dropped 34 seconds to achieve her "B" time in the 200 Free.

Emily Tran and Angelina Yim each achieved two new "B" times. Emily's new "B" times were in the 400 Free, and 100 Back, while Angelina's were in the 100 Free and 100 Breast.

Juliana Cardenas made one new "B" time in the 400 Free.

9-10 Boys

Ian Ordinario made one new "A" time in the 50 Free, and two new Junior Olympic cuts (100 Breast and 50 Fly).

Oliver Cantal made one new "B" time in the 100 Fly.

11-12 Boys

Yosi Fetahi joined younger brother Abel in dropping an amazing amount of time in his 400 Free. Yosi dropped 28 seconds, to finish in 5:28.30, a new "A" time. Yosi made another new "A" time in the 200 IM, and a new Junior Olympic time in the 50 Fly.

Aaron Chu swam to a new "A" time in the 400 Free.

Arron Clavin, in addition to his PRT in the 100 Back, made a new Junior Olympic time in the 400 Free.

13-14 Boys

Toby Lee made one new "A" time in the 100 Back.
