The old Emma Hood Swim Center lies between the tennis courts and gymnasium at Alameda High School off of Oak Street in downtown Alameda.

There are two outdoor pools -- a 6-lane, 25 yard competition pool and a deeper diving well (but not regulation size for water polo or swimming because of it's 22 yard length.) They are both heated and used year-round for swimming, water polo, and diving.
