Early this year we learned that the City of Piedmont took over management of the Piedmont Swim Club (and it's pool of course) under the insistance of securing "hazardous materials insurance."
Tim Rood, the former swim club president and an urban planner, has announced his is running for City Council. We don't know Tim but we certainly like his platform as described in the Piedmont Patch ("robust planning process" and facilitating "robust public dialogue.")
Maybe he can help the swim club get its pool back. Aquatics Fan officially endorses Tim Rood for Piedmont City Council!
